Goal of all this, is to bring their people in the management and then SELL this land to builder who is building condo across the street.
I am sure they will get there cut out of it.
We are not advocating for the land to be sold. This place should continue as a functional masjid. However, this piece of land has severe challenges for development and specifically for the purposes of building a school. Furthermore, when the previous property was sold on 16th Ave and houses built on it, who benefitted from that?
Are you suggesting that the existing management got a windfall of cash when they sold the land on 16th Ave and 44 houses were built?
No.wonder we are making such an amazing progress with our masjid,( like raising funds for the same project twice) washrooms
Why would they do that ?
Is it that they are hungry for power and position ?
Why don’t they just step down ?
Open a membership that let the community elect the directors like other masajid .
